why swimming pool water is cloudy

When you have a small amount of water, like in a drinking glass, it seems colorless.

But we notice the blue effect when you have a large the volume of water, like in a swimming pool.

Why Swimming Pools are Blue

why is indoor pool water blue

Pool water is blue this is due to the way molecules in water absorb light.

We know that sunlight is white and consists of all the colors of the spectrum.

When light falls on water, these molecules in the water absorb light from the red end of the spectrum.

By removing the red, it means that the light reflected by the water is slightly blue (since the blue color has a greater dispersion, this color remains)

The same thing happens even under artificial lighting and the deeper the swimming pool is, the more it looks blue.

Sometimes we see the drawings in the swimming pools. These are due to the tiles they contain.
