We love to see our little ones grow in front of our eyes. The happiness is watching them grow is a beyond explanation. The growth of the baby is designed to happen slowly over a period of time. We cannot see any development overnight. Some babies take a little more time than a normal timeline to accomplish these milestones. Proper increase in weight is also very important in the first year of the baby’s life.

Sometimes your baby might not look chubby. There is nothing for you to worry as long as your baby is active and eating well and sleeping right. Trust me you will hear this a lot if your baby isn’t chubby. “Are you not feeding him properly?

He looks so tiny. He should be chubbier..!!”. My little one weighs a little more than the normal chart but still, he isn’t on the chubby side. So I get asked these questions a lot.

Below is a general timeline of the milestones observed in babies. These timelines/guidelines are designed to keep track of your baby’s development compared to a broad range of kids so we can track his/her progress and to be sure that the baby is developing properly. Please consider this just as a guideline. It is not exactly same for all the children.

Remember your baby, like every other baby, is one of a kind.  If you feel concerned about your baby’s milestone achievements, trust your instincts and please consult the pediatrician. Most likely there are no problems at all, it might just be that your baby is moving forward at a slow pace.

Baby Development at 1 Month

1. Baby’s hearing is completely developed. As a result, he/she may even recognize and respond to the Mother’s voice.
2. During the first weeks, the baby's hands will mostly be fisted. The baby will try to vigorously move hands and legs together trying to familiarize with them.
3. Your baby’s vision has not yet completely developed. This will happen over the time period of three to four months. So the baby can focus on objects which are only very close to his/her face.

Some Super Fast Babies will be able to:

1. Respond to loud noise with a cry or becoming silent.
2. Smile in response when somebody smiles at them
3. Observing the surroundings
4. Lifting head at a good angle when putting on tummy

Baby Development at 2 Month

1. Some babies can respond to a smile with a smile, especially the smile of the mother.
2. The boy will now try to lift his head slightly when he has his stomach but cannot hold it too long.
3. Your baby can now track moving objects with his eyes
4. Babies of this age will be very fascinated by black and white objects or highly contrasted objects. For this reason, you can buy baby toys in black and white.
5. Try to move your hands the baby will notice the movement of hands.

Some Super Fast Babies will be able to:

1. Keep their head upright for longer than normal babies when held upright.
2. Few people can even try to roll around as early as two months.
3. Can try to touch the nearest objects or hanging toys.

1. Your baby has a lot of energy to play. As a result, he will start giving frantic kicks. He would like to move his legs vigorously in all directions.
2. The baby will try to put his hands in his mouth.
3. Babies like to grab their blankets and grab things near them.
4. At the end of 3 months, the baby will be able to recognize the familiar faces he sees every day. Not only faces but he would recognize their voices too.

1. Lift their head and stay that way for a few moments when they are on your stomach.
2. Go over their backs or foreheads.
3. Showing happiness after attending of mom and dad
4. Make some sounds.

1. At this point, babies would like to hold the toys and shake them just because they can move their hands.
2. Babies will start making noise by cooing and expressing their happiness and embarrassment in ways other than crying.
3. Babies would now like to be lifted, worn. They are likely to like it when you dance while holding them.
4. Now, normally, all babies would be able to hold their head at a 45-degree angle during the belly.

Some Super Fast Babies will be able to:

1. Sit down with support.
2. Can start answering the voice of mom or dad with a sound.

Baby Development at 5 Month

1. Try to reach and grab favorite toys
2. Try to turn or roll on all directions
3. Babies can hold their heads for a moment when they are held upright.
4. Scans across the room and showing of joy when we see "mom" or "daddy"

Some Super Fast Babies will be able to:

1. Sit without support.
2. Maybe even try to pick up the toy that is out of reach.
3. Try using their little fingers to grab and pinch small things.

1. Babies will now be interested in playing with their toes; likewise, they like to put it in their mouths.
2. Now babies can be able to turn around easily in both directions.
3. The baby can try to say a few words.
4. When the baby is lying down for the belly, he will be able to lift his head and chest with the support of his arms.

Some Super Fast Babies will be able to:

1. Babies had a lot of time on their stomachs since the beginning.
2. Can sit on your stomach.
3. The baby can attract attention.

Baby Development at 7 Month

1. Your baby will be able to make a sound and gurgle when he/she is happy. The most remarkable make them happy all the time; it's very good for the development of their brain.
2. Now at age 7, the baby will be able to sit alone or with a little support from you.
3. Babies will begin to explore an object by putting it in the mouth.

1. Turn in the direction of the sound to find the source from which it comes.
2. Pass the toys from one hand to another.
3. Recognize the books and rhymes they listen to daily. So get into the habit of putting soft music because it is said to increase the baby's IQ.

Baby Development at 8 Month

1. Your baby will turn in the direction of the voice (all sound or voice).
2. Your little one will now be perfectly able to see all the colors; In addition, will be particularly fond of bright colors and attractive toys.
3. Baby could start looking at you when you call his name.
4. The baby may begin to crawl

Some Super Fast Babies will be able to:

1. Stand with support or walk with support.
2. Stay alone for a few seconds.

Baby Development at 9 Months

1. Your baby will try to stand by holding furniture.
2. Your little child will now enjoy playing games with you.
3. Baby can stay alone for a while when he finds an object of interest.
4. You can start saying "NO" to some things and your baby will understand that no, but he may not be able to comply.

Some Super Fast Babies will be able to:

1. Stay alone.
2. Some brave people could even start walking.
3. Hit hands.
4. Say "Dad" or "Mom", but not intended to call.

Baby Development at 10 Months

1. Your baby will now start picking small things and putting them in his mouth. (Therefore, be careful not to place small things and keep the house clean of dust for the safety of children.)
2. The little one will now start walking while holding furniture.
3. Your baby may even point to something or you want to be caught or cuddled.
4. Your baby will start to recognize his toys and may even look for something he has dropped.

Some Super Fast Babies will be able to:

1. Begin to show your needs other than crying.
2. Your baby will begin to speak a foreign language invented while trying to imitate you. As a result, you will have to try to understand it. In addition, even converse in this language with the baby.
3. Baby will begin to explore the world around him.

Baby Development at 11 Months

1. Your baby will raise his hands when he wants to be picked, hugged or if he needs to be near you.
2. Your baby will begin to respond to his name with a smile.
3. The baby can start walking alone, very slowly, with very few steps at a time.
4. You will now hear the noises in the house. The baby started banging objects or toys knowing he can make noise.

1. Baby's vocabulary will contain some new words such as "Ajja", "Ajji", that is "grandfather" and "grandmother". Certainly, hearing these words from this tiny one is like music to your ear, is not it?
2. Your baby may start responding to small commands such as "Sitting" or "Standing" or making signs for "Food", "Water". He/she could probably show interest in eating their food by themselves.
3. They will try to take a spoon and a bowl and imitate you by eating (without real food). Therefore, I think it's time to let them eat their food once a day. Allow them to do some damage, so here's how they will learn.

Baby Development at 12 Months

1. Your baby may start calling you "mom" and "dada" intentionally.
2. Baby will begin to copy you, your gestures. Likewise, a little one might even start imitating what you say in his own gibberish language.
3. Your baby will start walking independently.
4. Your baby could start cooperating with dressing.

Some Super Fast Babies will be able to:

1. Start moving their bodies to music. Any type of music appeals to babies.
2. Your baby may become sad if you are sad. In addition, you could even try to relieve your pain.
