Why Indian Flag Down in Evening

In general, flags are removed before sunset this is because most countries have laws that prohibit the flight or display of flags at night unless the flag is lit. Raising in the morning is a sign of strength, and lowering it is a sign of respect and dignity for the flag and for the country it represents. In the United States, the flag is always raised quickly and lowered slowly. If a flag is to be hoisted halfway through the span, then it is hoisted to the top of the pole, and then carefully lowered until it is halfway.

Most national flags have a variety of rules and guidelines for the prevention of insults from the National Honor Act of 1971 for their proper handling and display.

Indeed, it is planned to keep the national flag hoisted only when there is sufficient lighting towards the flag.

Welcoming the national flag after sunset, that is, in low light, is considered a sign of disrespect for the national flag.

But a few years ago, in 2009, the congress politician, Mr. Naveen Jindal, tabled a PIL concerning the authorization to hoist the national flag beyond sunset under appropriate lighting.

He explained that if appropriate lighting is available, the Indian flag can be hoisted.

The court accepted and also hoisted the Indian flag beyond sunset. But the height of the flagpole should be 100 feet or more.

The biggest factor in the suspension of these flags is that the flag does not touch the bushes, trees, gutters, coating, doorknobs, birds, etc. when it flies.

Anything that touches the flag will shorten the life by causing early flag tear.

After 2009 in various places, you can see the Indian flag hoisted 24*7
